OUR MISSION

Meals for Unity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in New York City with a mission to uplift those in need through community and food.

Founded in March 2021 in the wake of increased violence against the AAPI community, what started as a spontaneous meal distribution in Manhattan’s Chinatown evolved into a vision tackling food insecurity and spreading awareness of social inequalities faced by our vulnerable communities. Our volunteer efforts span across 4 boroughs as we continuously partner with local businesses, restaurants, and fellow nonprofits to inspire and nourish our communities together.
